WHOHO! O meu conto “Anormal” vai fazer parte do volume 2 do Erótica Fantástica.
O meu primeiro conto publicado numa antologia! WHOHO!
Já ganhei o dia/mês/ano.
Mas falando da real produção literária. Escrevi.

While watching the cerimony for the “Author Award” on RTP (in essence, a worthy iniciative), I do this post as not to fail on my weekly commitment.
So, news? Yes, for a change (I really didn’t want to repeat last weeks authorial failure)
2012 is the year of the Dragon and this week I made a decidion based on that. I will be revising “Dragons and their Sacrifices” before any other novel, this is because maybe the dragons will bless me with good luck. No?
Of course, it’s easier said than done. With my intention of writing several short-stories for several anthologies, the learning of two languages (Italian and French), with ScriptFrenzy close by and a few comics I had planned, where will I ever get the time? (I think I’ll have to cut somewhere)
Seriously, I have not the faintest idea!, but that won’t stop me from trying.
And since I know myself well enough to know that I work better with objectives, here goes one: Revise “Dragons and their Sacrifices“ and send it to beta-readers before the end of July.
Doesn’t seem too hard (Yes it does!) but with everything else happening, I’ll be lucky to make it.
The results for the anthology Erótica Fantástica are out and, among the more than 150 submissions, mine was to one of the chosen for publication. Congratulations to the winners! And Buhu to myself.
HOLD IT! I just found out (as in, right now, 00:10h) that my short story “Abnormal” was chosen to be included on the second volume of the “Erótica Fantástica” Anthology. WHOHO! It’s my first time being published in an anthology, and an international one at that. WHOHO!
Happy, happy, happy!
But going back to the real literary production. I wrote. I wrote a considerable amount, in an attempt to finish something in time to submit for an anthology which deadline is so, so close. But what I wrote, besides incomplete, did not please me enough, leaving me even unhappy with the result obtained.
I discarded what I wrote but I will keep trying to finish the short-story in time, although it seems to me an almost impossibility at this time. That won’t, however, stop me from writing the story I want, because the short-story itself is not made for the anthology but for myself, and I think it’s a story that deserves to be told.
Either way, there have been other times when I managed to make shorter deadlines, but I won’t make promises (to myself or to others). What shall come, shall come, because I don’t want to write a text just fro the ‘writing’, while it lacks in the emotional level.
On other news, I was invited to be a part of Braga’s Reading Club, together with Ângelo Marques e o Manuel Cardoso. More informations here.
